About the course

Our Tea Tourism Program is designed for tea lovers to appreciate the origins of their preferred cup. It is a 3 nights / 4 days program in the tranquility of the Himalayas, amidst the extolled tea gardens of Darjeeling and Sikkim. Our responsible tourism program has been designed to promote ecotourism in India with a special focus on tea.

Session Details

We aim to promote environmental conservation and to uphold the cultures and traditions of the indigenous people of the area so that the quality of their lives can be improved. We emphasize on low-impact and conscious activities that leave natural beauties in their virgin state.

Curriculum Details

Day 1

• Check in at homestay

• Welcome drink and snacks

• Meditation & self-consciousness session

• Nepali style dinner

Day 2

• Morning yoga

• Trekking along tea garden trails (please pick up any plastic item that you see) pluck your own tea

• Learn about organic tea cultivation

• Make your own handcrafted tea

• Organic lunch with local villagers

• Tea meditation

Day 3

• Morning yoga

• Visit to specialty tea factory

• Learn about tea processing

• Tea tasting session

• Village walk

• Birdwatching

• Barbeque

Day 4

• Visit to himalayan nursery

• Organic lunch

• Departure

• Sightseeing on the way

Included :

• Food and accomodation

• Pickup and drop from the nearest airport/railway station/bus stop

• Local coveyance

• Visit to tea gardens and tea factories

Other things you can do :

• Swim in the mountain river

• Sing and dance with the local people

• Hug the trees

• Listen to wild sounds

• Have a me-time

• Eat some local dishes

• Try some local fermented drinks

Policies

Confirmation Policy

• The participant receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking

• In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the participant’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email

• Alternatively, the participant may choose to cancel their booking and a full refund will be processed

Cancellation Policy

• If cancellation is done at least 15 days prior to the commencement of the program, 25% of the advance payment shall be deducted and the balance amount shall be refunded.

• If cancellation is done lesser than 15 days prior to the commencement of the program, 50% of the advance payment shall be deducted and the balance amount shall be refunded

• In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However no refund will be provided for the same.

Refund Policy

• The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.
